The collection O.titude fall-winter 2003 is dedicated to the eclecticism.
Eclectic and precious are the materials that mingle, from the silk to the embroided tulle in mohair wool, the flounced of lace setted in the clinging jersey, the impalpable clothes lined with wool, the cashmere mixed with the silk.
Eclectic and warm are the colours, from the cinnabar greens to the dusty lilac, to the reds of cadmium.
Marine themes, mannered representations of species of coloured ocean fishes, shells, corals from Cornelius Seba’s laboratory, give the first words to the drawing up of patchwork quilt, prints in tracing and in old silver leaf.
Images of palm roots from the indonesian island Mabul create suggestive interlacings on silk georgette and embroided nets.
Again oriental rice papers build delicate laces of old gold, of oxidized bronze on siren dresses of the new era.
“Obliterate yourself” says Yayoi Kusama, the Japanese artist theorist of the nudism in the 60’s : the clothes become a swarm of thousand “holes” made of deepened plastic.
Inspired by Kusama also the prints of the posters of her New York performances laudatory the free love with the writings of her manifesto : “Nudism is the best”, “don’t buy clothes, they coast money”…OOOOPS!!!.
